Madness...Evil

Evil

Did you have that awful feeling Thursday that we were all  (and I mean all of us in the entire world) in for both terrorist and a potential nuclear catastrophe ?  That afternoon Mike said, "It won't surprise me one bit if he calls for a strike against Iran."  According to some writers - it could still happen.  Here - although select conventional media have been working their little hearts out is some of the best coverage of the Iran fiasco, caused and brought to you by Donald the Madman:

 ~ From The Intercept:

 Deconstructed
Iran Crisis: Have We Learned Nothing From The Iraq War?

Don't miss the related articles; here is my comment from Donald Trump, Iran and the Gulf of Tonkin
Redux:

"Hmmm,,,,I think he and "them" knew everything from the get-go. This was planned; to freak everyone out number one (because he thrives on chaos), then for numero dos to make him look like the hero who staves off an impending war because he was concerned about 150 lives? No way, and he appears to be deeply concerned after he created this entire mess himself. Oh they are saying, "...we just must vote for Trump again and keep him in - he saved the world from destruction!"  Oh bullshit.  He is a psychotic liar.

Anyway, I really did not flash on this until watching his latest interview on CNN and the timetable, etc.  However I did being an oldie flashed immediately on the Gulf of Tonkin.

Great job Mr. Mackey !"

Note: there sure are a lot of Trump supporters in that peanut gallery.

~ More of Trump's asinine "Immigration Policy":

 ~ From Newsweek via MSN:
"The Trump administration went to court this week to argue that migrant children detained at the United States-Mexico border do not require basic hygiene products like soap and toothbrushes in order to be in held in "safe and sanitary" conditions. Trump's team also argued that requiring minors to sleep on cold concrete floors in crowded cells with low temperatures similarly fulfilled that requirement.

Arguing in a 9th district San Francisco court about the conditions that they must hold migrant children in, the administration said that they did not violate a precedent set by a landmark 1985 class action lawsuit which established guidelines for the way minors held in federal immigration detention must be treated. The case, Jenny Lisette Flores v. Edwin Meese, created rules around the timely release of migrant minors to their parents, and said that those not released must be kept in facilities that are "safe and sanitary."

But on Tuesday, the Justice Department's Sarah Fabian claimed that the ruling did not list specific requirements like "toothbrushes" or "towels," to establish a sanitary condition.
"One has to assume it was left that way and not enumerated by the parties because either the parties couldn't reach agreement on how to enumerate that or it was left to the agencies to determine," Fabian said to the three Clinton-appointed federal judges on the court.
"You're really going to stand up and tell us that being able to sleep isn't a question of safe and sanitary conditions?" U.S. Circuit Judge Marsha Berzon asked Fabian.

Other judges also expressed outrage.

"Are you arguing seriously that you do not read the agreement as requiring you to do anything other than what I just described: cold all night long, lights on all night long, sleeping on concrete and you've got an aluminum foil blanket?" U.S. Circuit Judge William Fletcher asked Fabian. "I find that inconceivable that the government would say that that is safe and sanitary."
Still, Fabian said that the Trump administration plans to apply for a motion of reconsideration and continue to appeal the ruling.

"Have you considered whether you might go back and consider whether you really want to continue this appeal?" replied Berzon. "There doesn't seem to be a whole lot left of it, considering that life has moved on now. I just feel like we're litigating ancient history at this point."

At least seven migrant children have died in U.S. custody since late 2018 when the president began his policy of detaining them separately from their families. John Sanders, the acting commissioner of Customs and Border Protection warned today that his agency would need at least another $4.6 billion in emergency funding to prevent more deaths.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Sanders said that "The death of a child is always a terrible thing, but here is a situation where, because there is not enough funding … they can't move the people out of our custody."

The exact number of children who had died under the care of the federal government is unknown because of a law that does not require various agencies to report deaths.

This week, the ACLU found a migrant teenager in the care of Texas border control nursing her prematurely-born baby without any proper medical care."

 ~ "When They See Us"

We haven't had a chance to watch "When They see Us" from Netflex, but are going to try to start it this weekend .  We all know this type of injustice happens all the time in the United States, and yet Trump said he would not apologize (he said this twice) for the ad he took out and his remarks urging for the death penalty against these five young men, who have since been proven innocent beyond any
reasonable doubt.

"Trump won't Back Down On 'Central Park Jogger' Case"

Of course he won't back down, he is a racist.

Locally, the violence is horrible throughout Baja California with the exception so far of today -   to hold you over here is Zeta - you can thumb through the Daily Reports, June summary coming up with great interview of Padre Patrick Murphy and Ex- Ambassador to Mexico, Roberta S. Jacobson.

The next project here is to put together three badly needed linen closets, so I have my hands full because I have a feeling this is going to take forever.  Everyone else is good; Paris gets a bath tomorrow, Daca Bob has been trying to organize the Baja Malibu kittens and speaking of kittens, Susan gave birth so I really am turning into the loca cat lady.  I found another old Heissner Gnome and finally replaced my 20 year old Simplex Tea Kettle (which was already 15 years old when I bought it). - not new, used but it was still pricey ugh. I wanted to get the one from Japan, but being cast iron I knew it would rust here on the ocean.  Oh, and I have new "Nasty Woman" pins to hand out.  Over and out for now.

Democracy Now!

Check this out:

"Writing the music for this, I was originally inspired by old Italian zombie exploitation film soundtracks. There are too many to mention, but some of my favourite composers of this era include Nico Fidenco, Roberto Donati/Fiamma Maglione and The Goblins. It also references PiL, horror-film disco — Ms. 45 — and The Gun Club.
To extend the theme politically — and unsophisticatedly — I had wanted the music to reflect both capitalism and fascism as deadly viruses operating behind the scenes and controlling us subtly until we’re all infected.
It could also be a fun new dance: ‘Do the Death March!’
Ryan Mahan, NPR

The Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
Oh no
On no, no, no
This can't be how it all falls apart
Constant fear of explosion
Crypto-fascist contagion

[Verse 2]
Oh yeah
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah
They took no time to unwind it all
Manufactured suggestion
Wag the dog and then drown him

[Refrain]
How hate keeps passing on
This is how the hate keeps passing on

[Verse 3]
Oh no
On no, no, no
This can't be how it all whimpers out
Live to die in the gutter
Empty ivory towers

[Verse 4]
Oh yeah
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah
They pay no mind just to wind you up
Informed autosuggestion
State-sanctioned assassination

~ Well if that's too radical for you, maybe the migrantes  who stay here and work on the Mayan Railroad might like this one, I couldn't find an old Chinese "Coolie" Railroad song anywhere....remember the "coolies" ?  Then, after they built the railroad lines in the USA (slave labor), they were deported back to China.  Christ.
