From U.S. Department of Defense - 10/03/22 Report on this link |
Since pushing the Russians out of Lyman, you wonder if the Ukrainian forces are unstoppable. Putin has been once again been deeply humiliated, and there is of course, even more anticipated danger from that aspect - people are spooked due to the nuclear card; knowing how evil Putin is, people who I speak to are holding their breath over the thought that he out of retaliation and mental illness might be thinking about blowing up the nuclear plants in Ukraine. Here are just a few recent updates:

Ukraine Forces Break Through Russian Defenses In South, Advance In The East
By Jonathan Landay and Tom Balmforth
"Ukraine appears to be making good ground in the south after a weekend when it forced Russian troops out of the eastern city of Lyman - meaning two of Vladimir Putin's "annexed" regions are not fully under Russian control.
Here's what you need to know this morning:
- Ukrainian forces recaptured several villages in an advance along the strategic Dnipro River on Monday, Ukrainian officials and a Russian-installed leader in the area said;
- Ukraine says it took 31 Russian tanks out of action in the south;
- The southern advance is targeting supply lines for as many as 25,000 Russian troops on the Dnipro's west bank;
- In a sign Ukraine is building momentum on the eastern front, Reuters saw columns of Ukrainian military vehicles heading on Monday to reinforce the rail hub of Lyman, retaken at the weekend, and a staging post to press into the Donbas region;
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine's army had seized back towns in a number of areas, without giving details. "New population centres have been liberated in several regions. Heavy fighting is going on in several sectors of the front," Mr Zelenskyy said in a video address.
- Billionaire Elon Musk asked Twitter users to weigh in on a plan to end the war which included proposing UN-supervised elections in the four occupied regions and recognising Crimea, which Moscow seized in 2014, as Russian. The plan drew immediate condemnation from Ukrainians, including Mr Zelenskyy."
